Upcoming CEU’s

Ethics Under Pressure

Friday, September 26th 12:00pm-2:00pm

This CEU meets criteria for 2 ethics hours.

This 2 hour presentation explores the complex, often ambiguous realities of ethics in clinical practice. Rather than focusing solely on clear-cut rules, participants will examine real-world scenarios where the "right" answer isn’t obvious.

The Schizo-Spectrum Explained

Friday, October 24th 12:00pm-1:30pm

This event will be co-lead with one of our amazing SMU interns: Lauren Shanafelt.

The DSM-5-TR includes four diagnoses that share the prefix “schizo”: schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, schizophreniform disorder, and schizotypal personality disorder. While these conditions share overlapping features such as distortions in thought, perception, and affect, they differ significantly as well. Accurate differentiation of these disorders is essential for effective treatment.

Treating Personality Disorders

Friday, August 29th 12:00pm-1:30pm

This presentation explores empathetic approaches to treating personality disorders. It highlights the field’s shift from a solely trauma-focused lens to one that incorporates genetic and neurobiological factors. Clinicians will learn how to move away from stigmatizing frameworks and instead apply strategies that support social skills development, address boundary challenges, and improve brain-based communication patterns.

Mind The (Generation) Gap

Friday, November 14th 12:00pm-1:30pm

This event will be co-lead with one of our amazing clincians: Shawna Warren

Gen Z is growing up in a world that looks very different from the one many of us knew. Gen Z is juggling between constant connection through technology, social pressures online, and a rapidly changing culture. Imagine your bully being able to follow you home every day or having access to millions of people to compare yourself to during puberty. This brings unique challenges when it comes to mental health. This CEU will help you better understand what makes this generation tick with an empathetic foundation.

“Jen’s presentations are some of the most engaging I’ve ever taken. She is so clear, practical, and grounded in clinical experience."
